The City of Oak Grove will be having trick or treat in Oak Grove City Limits on October 31, 2016 from 6pm-8pm

“The City of Clarksville does not designate a time or rules for traditional Halloween trick or treating, except that the city curfew law remains in effect. This year Halloween falls on Monday, Oct. 31, and the city relies on families to enjoy the event as they choose,” said Richard V. Stevens, the City Communications Director. “One could envision an extreme weather event or some specific public safety concern where the city might choose to issue an advisory, but that certainly would be an exception. For now our advice is ‘be safe, have fun, enjoy Halloween.’ “

The curfew for minors 15 and younger is 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and the curfew for minors 15-18 is 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

FWI:  Sec. 10-205. – Curfew for minors.

It shall be unlawful for any minor fifteen (15) years of age and younger to loiter, idle, wander, stroll, or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places or public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the following day. Furthermore, it shall be unlawful for any minor over the age of fifteen (15) years, but under the age of eighteen (18) years, to loiter, idle, wander, stroll, or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public places or other public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

It is provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed or authorized by his parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or if the minor is married or is a member of the armed services.
